Since March 2025, the first release of Julia, the City of Rome’s artificial intelligence serving citizens, tourists and pilgrims, has been active. This is still a first version, but it is destined to be progressively updated and enriched with new features to offer an increasingly personalized and high-performance service and experience.

Julia is a virtual assistant designed to provide instant access to data and information on Jubilee, mobility, culture, events and essential services. Designed with the support of Microsoft and developed in its first release by NTT Data, Julia promises to be able to provide up-to-date, accurate and complete answers: from finding a hotel to looking up public transportation schedules, from information on the calendar of cultural events to finding tourist infopoints to Security and Civil Defense alerts.
