Baroque Rome: where art becomes emotion
At the Scuderie del Quirinale, until 13 July 2025, the exhibition Global Baroque. The world in Rome in Bernini’s century , an exhibition that explores 17th century Rome as a crossroads of cultures, religions and arts. Through more than one hundred works from international museums, the exhibition highlights Rome’s role as a centre of cultural and diplomatic exchange between Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Among the masterpieces on display are the polychrome bust of the Congolese ambassador Antonio Manuel Ne Vunda and the model for Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers.
