Through paintings by great masters such as Renoir, Degas, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Matisse, and Picasso, the exhibition recounts the birth and evolution of modern European painting, from the delicate use of light in Impressionism to the bold experimentation of the early twentieth-century avant-garde.
