Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s most beautiful squares, is a Baroque masterpiece. Built on the site of Domitian’s Stadium, the square is famous for Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. The basilica of Sant’Agnese in Agone and other Baroque structures surround the square.
A lively place full of cafes and street performers, Piazza Navona is perfect for a stroll or a stop, especially at sunset, when the square comes alive with lights and colors.
